The 60-turbine project is being built in phases by Belgian wind-farm developer, C-Power NV, and will add 300 megawatts （MW） of wind-generated electrical capacity to the national grid. This is equal to one-third of the additional generation that Belgium needs to meet its European Union renewable-energy target and enough power to satisfy the annual energy needs of 600,000 people. "ABB is a leading supplier of equipment to the wind energy sector, as well as solutions that reliably and efficiently connect wind-generated power to the grid," said Peter Leupp, head of ABB’s Power Systems division.
